The position
We are looking for a funeral directors assistant on a full -time basis to join our amazing team. The conductor is the person who is leading the team
What a day for a Funeral Director’s Assistant might look like:
Setting up for a funeral service, including washing vehicles and setting up equipment at a cemetery.
Assisting with a funeral service/s and ensuring all standards are met and that the client experience is exceptional.
Confident handling of audio visual equipment.
Communicate and work with the mortuary and Administration.
Transferring of deceased persons.
Availability to work weekends at an on call, at need basis if required.
Must haves…
- Customer service experience.
- Previous skills in communicating with people and team members written and verbal.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- The ability to follow standards and direction.
- The ability to anticipate needs before they are apparent.
- Time management and flexibility.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and presentation.
- Current full VIC driver’s license.
- This role requires bending, reaching and lifting. It also requires you to be able to stand, sit and walk for extended periods of time.
- The ability to work Monday – Friday and when needed (occasionally) on the weekend.
- A minimum double vaccination status.
- Police Check
